Dmitry Medvedev visited the Kazan IT Park

The Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev visited Kazan IT park during his business trip to Republic of Tatarstan. IT Park organized presentation of the activities of the techno park for the head of the Russian Government.

The Minister of Communications of Russia Nikolay Nikiforov and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov presented the potential of the IT sector to Russian Prime Minister. Director of Kazan IT Park Dinar Nasyrov has spoken about the business incubator projects.

At the beginning Mr.Medvedev was shown the youngest resident of Techn opark – Daniil Lashin and his team. The Prime Minister wished them good luck and new discoveries.

After the presentation of "Avtodoria" project Russian Prime Minister said that the main thing in this project is not monetization of the budget and economy but the safety: "Drivers will try to keep the average speed, and this fact will positive impact on road safety", - said the Head of the Government.

The next project, presented to Dmitry Medvedev, was the "Eidos" Company which produces medical simulators. The Prime Minister personally tested the equipment, simulating a medical operation. Prime Minister recalled that a similar system is being used abroad. Project leader Ramil Gainutdinov noted that the product made in Kazan is several times cheaper than their foreign counterparts. Gainutdinov also spoke about the company's plans to enter the international market. According to the director, the company intends to "win a victory, as the national teams in football and hockey." "I do agree about the hockey, but I wouldn’t talk about football at the moment," - ironically noted Dmitry Medvedev.

Next, Dmitry Anatolievich was shown the pride of Tatarstan development in high technology – the system of electronic public services. Representatives of the company presented the leader of the Russian government the main directions of development of modern electronic public services in the Republic of Tatarstan. In the past year there were more than 10 million services provided in electronic form. These indicators have been achieved by expanding the network of infomats (service ATM’s) and by increasing  the number of services on the portal. Today citizens can get 97 types of services.

After that, the prime minister Medvedev was presented a master plan of the future city of Innopolis and talked about the development of the Kazan IT Park.

In conclusion, Medvedev wished the team good luck to a business incubator and left his signature on the wall. "I wish you all the creative, and therefore commercial success," - wrote the Prime Minister.

After the tour, Mr Medvedev had a meeting with representatives of the regional branch of the party "United Russia" in the conference hall of the Kazan IT Park.

After visiting Kazan IT Park Dmitry Medvedev took part in capsule laying ceremony in Innopolis, Kazan’s satellite town. Innopolis will be built in the Verkhneuslonsky District of Tatarstan, 40 km from Kazan, taking up an area of 1,200 hectares. Dmitry Medvedev expressed confidence that it will be a very beautiful, very powerful and very interesting innovation centre that would generate ideas and produce talent.
