Today, April 17, the IT park was held in Tatarstan First IT-Olympics among the pensioners. Olympics organizers were the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection, Ministry of Information and Communications, Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the RPF in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Russian Union of Pensioners, National Council of NGO veterans (retired) of the Republic of Tatarstan, the agency "Tatmedia."

Results in the walls of the Kazan IT Park gathered 106 members - two representatives from each municipal district of Tatarstan. It graduates "of the University of the Third Age", who studied the basics of computer literacy in the shares of the "Internet-longevity" and "computer literacy campaign" as well as trained veterans of the enterprises and organizations of the republic. In one of the conditions of the competition, participants need not be experts in the field of information and communication technologies. The selection of participants on the IT-Olympics was conducted among 14,758 people approaching retirement and old age.

The average age of participants was 64 years Olympics and the oldest participant - 77 years. Competitors perform tasks on four case: virtual postcards produced and wrote the text of Kazan, to search for information using Internet resources, have made a request for public services portal uslugi.tatarstan.ru, etc. A completed assignments sent to the jury by email.

Winners and participants of the contest received certificates for the prize amount from 3 to 30 thousand rubles, as well as a laptop - the oldest participant.

Deputy Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat GABDULAKHATOV underlined the uniqueness of the Olympics, "Analog IT-Olympics among the retirees do not have, not only in the country, but also in Russia."
